It’s almost that time of year again when bikini and fitness challenges are about to start clogging your social streams. Please don’t go overboard with juice cleanses or comparing your body to someone else’s. As the season of lemonade and frozen treats quickly approaches, it can be hard to stay healthy. Here are a few do’s and don’ts to keep you on the right track.
Water is your friend and you should be soaking up at least eight 8 oz. glasses daily. To spice things up you can infuse your water with your favorite citrus fruits. Adding lemon and mint to your water can help boost your metabolism and improve your skin.
Exercise is important but it doesn’t have to be excessive. You can take things slow by picking up a dance class or finally mastering that yoga pose you’ve been working on. Make sure you find something you love that also challenges you. You only have to compete with yourself.
Don’t Forget to Eat
Staying fit shouldn’t mean being less healthy. There are tons of fad diets and trends out there, but that’s not the right way to go if you want long term results. Remember to take everything in moderation and to incorporate fruits and veggies when you can. You can still enjoy your favorite foods just be sure to add some healthy alternatives in there.
Don’t Compare Yourself
It’s true what they say about comparison being the death of happiness. You only need to worry about what makes you happy and what works for you. Make goals that are realistic and are best suited for your lifestyle. Make this a summer to remember.
