Nothing goes together quite like girlfriends, champagne, and clothes. My good friend Alex Brown, who doubles as a PR guru, offered to host My Favorite Outfit’s (MFO) first clothing swap. The idea was simple; Bring friends together to swap their unwanted clothes for each other’s while bringing awareness to MFO.
The entire swap was picture perfect from the amazing spread of finger foods, to the make-your-own mimosa bar, to the chalkboard banner that welcomed everyone into Alex’s home. When it came time for the clothing swap, each girl held up the items she brought and someone else either claimed it or it was added to the donation pile. No one left with empty arms!
Alex couldn't sum up the event any better, "Few things make me happier than hosting a fun party for my friends, but centering a soiree around a great cause? It doesn't get much better than that. My Favorite Outfit has already made such an incredible impact on the lives of underprivileged girls in Chicago and this fundraiser was just another small step towards fulfilling MFO's mission."
The best part for me was when Kayla, who drove in from Indiana, shared that she’s been following MFO’s journey since the beginning. Some of the pictures she’s seen of our Pop-Up Boutiques have even made her cry! It’s so rewarding to know that other people care about our cause!
